Originating from Punagala oya, Diyaluma falls is Sri Lanka second highest waterfall with a height of 220 metres.It is viewed from the koslanda – wellawaya road.Because of the astounding force and speed with which it coscodes from its great height , travellers on the koslanda – wellawaya road can expect to be soaked by the vapour and mist of this waterfall. Diyaluma falls is named for the immense speed at which it descends. As Mr. Brohier, the famous surveryor , records the word Diya Haluwa ( water fall) but , eventually become a single word Diyaluma.
